Gas work is exactly where you want a licensed pro.
New appliance runs, BBQ and fire-pit lines, generator hookups, and capacity upgrades for tankless conversions — sized correctly, tested properly, permitted when required.
Start with the symptom.
Adding a gas appliance
A new range, dryer, fire pit or outdoor kitchen needs a properly sized branch line — and often a look at total system capacity.
Converting to tankless
Tankless water heaters can need far more gas flow than the tank they replace. We verify meter and line capacity before anything is promised.
Gas smell
Leave the area, don’t switch anything on or off, and call PG&E’s emergency line first. Once the utility has made it safe, we find and repair the leak and re-test the system.
Appliance underperforming
Starved gas supply shows up as weak burner performance — often an undersized or partially blocked line.
Why it happens here
Most gas problems we see are capacity problems: systems sized for the original appliances, asked to feed decades of additions. Corrosion on older steel lines and fittings does the rest.
How we diagnose it
We calculate total demand against meter and line capacity, pressure-test the system, and locate leaks precisely. Every new run is tested before it’s connected, and permits are pulled where the jurisdiction requires them — which protects you at resale.
Repair or replace — our honest rule
Sound steel pipe with one bad fitting gets a repair. Badly corroded or undersized runs get replaced — and if your remodel or tankless plan needs more capacity than the meter provides, we’ll tell you before you buy appliances, not after.
From our job sites, not a stock library.
Questions homeowners actually ask
I smell gas — what do I do first?
Leave the building, don’t operate switches or anything that can spark, and call PG&E at 1-800-743-5000 from outside. The utility makes it safe free of charge; the repair of your house lines is where we come in.
Do I need a permit for a new gas line?
In most Sonoma County jurisdictions, yes — new runs and significant modifications are permitted and inspected work. We handle the permit as part of the job. Unpermitted gas work is a real problem at sale time, and worth avoiding.
Can you run a gas line to an outdoor kitchen or fire pit?
Yes — outdoor runs are routine for us, including trenching, sleeving and shutoffs where code requires. Bring us the appliance’s BTU rating and we’ll size the line to feed it properly at full burn.
